Dynamic analysis of the governor control system of a 25 MW Hitachi gas-fired power plant for designing a load shedding system

Abstract
This report was prepared regarding design of the Power management system of one of the country's refineries and was compiled based on the information of the 25 MW frame 5 Hitachi gas power plant. 3 power plants were installed and commissioned by Hitachi and the 4th power plant installed and commissioned by us, and these power plants have similar dynamic behavior. Total consumed power of refinery plant will produced by these power plants and there is no external point of common coupling (PCC) in the field. In this report, the behavior of the power plant is examined and analyzed and conventional strategies for load shedding, investigation and the best strategy that can be implemented and executed in this power plant are proposed. In compiling this report, MATLAB software has been used for numerical calculations and graphic drawing. The various load shedding scenarios are considered and suitable scenario for the petrochemical refinery which is frequency based load shedding was selected. Grouping the loads and determination of the critical and non- critical loads was selected as operator guide lines.
