Abstract
This study presents the optimal placement of automatic power switches in the distribution network of Tabriz city, considering distributed generation sources and uncertainties arising from load forecasting and renewable energy generation. Given the urban context of the design scope, photovoltaic source penetration is prioritized. The design focuses on optimally positioning remote control switches (RCS) to enhance network reliability and meet automation objectives. For this purpose, an interface has been created to use the optimization force of MATLAB software and the technical computing force of DIgSILENT software. In this case, system index’s are calculated in DIgSILENT software for each scenario in MATLAB, and by calculating the cost probability distribution function, the level of riskiness of the system is evaluated according to the number of installed switches. Due to the large volume of study results, a part of the studies and research results will be presented in this article.
